University of Basra Organizes a Workshop on Social Services with Al-Ain Foundation
The Department of Studies and Planning, under the patronage of the esteemed President of the University of Basra and in cooperation with the Al-Ain Foundation for Social Care, organized a workshop about the work of the foundation and the ways of mutual cooperation between them in the field of orphan care and providing them with financial and moral support. The workshop was held at the Al-Sayyab Hall in the University Presidency.
The workshop aimed to introduce the achievements and services of the Al-Ain Foundation in the field of social care, its work mechanisms, and the number of registered orphans, as well as to clarify the ways to donate and contribute to supporting the foundation's humanitarian programs.
The workshop included the presentation of several research papers in which the researchers discussed the concept of the orphan in the Qur'an and the Sunnah, in addition to discussing the mechanism of cooperation between the University of Basra and the Al-Ain Foundation in several areas, most importantly the sponsorship of orphans and providing educational and learning facilities for outstanding orphan students to enable them to continue their university studies in public, evening, or parallel education colleges.
At the conclusion of the workshop, participants expressed their appreciation for the efforts exerted by both sides, emphasizing the importance of continuing this cooperation to serve social and educational development.
